The First Stone: Kicking Off Sudamala Resort, Ubud Project

BALI, Indonesia – April 18, 2024 – The groundbreaking ceremony for the Sudamala Resort
development project in Ubud took place on Friday, April 19, 2024. The event was attended by
key figures including Ben Subrata, CEO of Sudamala Resorts; Ricky Putra, COO of Sudamala
Resorts; Putu Suasta, Director of Sudamala Resorts; Novy Nenolaswaty, Director of Finance
and Administration at Sudamala Resorts; I Wayan Suwastana, Commercial Director; Tjokorda
Bagus Ariwiryawan, and I Gusti Ayu Hariani, Business Partners.

In his speech, Ben Subrata, CEO of Sudamala Resorts, emphasized the significance of Ubud in
the tourism industry. He stated, “Ubud plays a critical role in the tourism industry. Resorts are
an indispensable element of travel needs. Ubud is rich in traditions, culture, and natural beauty,
which attract both local and international tourists. The infrastructure development and
economic growth carried out by the Gianyar Regency government have encouraged us at
Sudamala Resorts Group, which has been successful in Sanur, Amed, Senggigi – Lombok,
Labuan Bajo & Seraya – Flores, to contribute to the progress of tourism in Ubud. The
preservation of nature and scenic beauty are our reasons for expanding our business,
particularly in the hospitality and tourism industry in Ubud.”

Tjokorda Bagus Ariwiryawan and I Gusti Ayu Hariani, business partners of Sudamala Resort,
also expressed their support for the development plans. “I am confident and believe that the
presence of Sudamala Resort in Ubud will have a positive impact on the local community by
providing much-needed job opportunities,” said Cok.

Sudamala Resort, Ubud, will cover an area of 5,074 square meters and will feature 46 rooms,
a spa, a swimming pool, and a restaurant. The entire project is targeted to be completed in 2025.
